White Cart Water |
White Cart Water is located just a couple of miles south of Glasgow.
Full Membership can be gained through buying a season permit, there are no joining fees. There are annual competitions held for members. Guidance and instruction is available for new members, beginners or visitors by arrangement with the Secretary. Rules are printed on the permits. Permits must be purchased before approaching the water.

The Daff Fishery |
The Daff Fishery is situated 7 miles south west of Greenock.
It is a 65 acre loch situated in the hills above Inverkip on the A78 in West Central Scotland. The loch is stocked predominantly with rainbow trout from 1.5Ibs with some specimens now reaching 20Ibs. It also contains wild brown trout and brook trout The fishery is fly only and offers both bank and boat fishing with wading possible in most areas.

Quarter Fishery, which is now under new management, lies almost equidistant between Hamilton and Strathaven, accessed from the A723 at Limekilnburn Road. It is signposted at this junction, and the entrance to the fishery which is also signposted lies approximately one mile from the A723 junction.

Newmill Trout Fishery lies almost equidistant between Glasgow The west and east ponds are surrounded in mature trees and are seen at their best on a sunny day, when their mirror surfaces provide a reflective picture postcard scene. The 8acre pond has been surrounded with a planting of 25,000 trees and in time these trees will provide a wonderful scenic backdrop. The other characteristic sound of Newmill is the roaring of Red Deer stags in season.The deer farm is a well known tourist attraction in the area ,with home grown venison always available.

Paisley Abercorn Angling Club |
Fishing permits for the Paisley Abercorn Club allows fishing on the Gryffe which covers from the meeting pool in Renfrew at the swing bridge all the way up to Bridge of Weir at what is known as The Beggars Seat, total fishing distance is approximately 26 miles of fishing.

The fishing is primarily for natural and stocked Brown Trout along with Sea trout and Salmon

Directions : There is easy access by car to most parts of the river and it is very well served by various bus routes. From the town centre of Renfrew travel along the Old Greenock Road heading towards Inchinnan, at the swing bridge you will continue travelling towards the traffic lights where you turn right and travel along the Old Greenock Road till you reach the second roundabout formerly known as The Red Smiddy here you will take the first on the left and follow this road for approximately 400yards and turn right on to the Old Georgetown Road on the left you have the River Gryffe which you can fish all the way up to Bridge of Weir. |
Please note that all the rivers are bailiffed on a regular basis by Crown Warranted Bailiffs.
